Do you need help downloading our apps?

Below we have detailed some instructions to help you download the m-Path app and the MyDataHelps app. You will need these if you have joined our trial.

Instructions to install the m-Path app

1. Download the m-Path App
M-Path is free for you as a study participant. If you have an iPhone, you can download the app from the App Store. If you’re using an Android device, you can download the app from the Google Play Store. Simply search for m-Path (not: m-Path Sense) and download the app.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.m_Path.kuleuven&hl=en_GB

iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/m-path/id6733243074

2. Allow m-Path to Send You Notifications
It’s very important for your participation in the study that you allow m-Path to send you notifications. To complete the questionnaires in the app, your smartphone must be connected to the internet.

Important: Please ensure that Do Not Disturb mode is turned off during the study, as it may block notifications from the m-Path app. If you prefer to keep Do Not Disturb mode enabled, please go to your phone’s notification or focus settings and create an exception for the m-Path app, so that it can continue to send you reminders. (On some devices, this may appear under Focus settings.) If you miss too many notifications, you may not be able to complete the study successfully.

3. Enter your Personal Invitation Code as a Nickname

When you open the m-Path app for the first time, provide your personal invitation code as your nickname.

    4. Accept the Terms of Use

    5. Save Your Recovery Code
When you first sign in to the m-Path app, you will receive a one-time personal recovery code. This code is essential for restoring your account if you switch devices or need to reinstall the app. Please take a screenshot of your recovery code and store it in a safe place. We recommend saving it somewhere other than your phone, such as on your computer or in a notebook.

    6. Add a Practitioner to Connect With the Study  – Enter Your Personal Invitation Code
Enter the personal code you received and press add by clicking the follow button. This is how you connect with our study in the m-Path app. If you’ve forgotten your code, you should be able to find it at the end of the email we sent you when you consented to the study.

If you cannot find this, please contact us at: calmingmindsproject@exeter.ac.uk

You’re all set! From now on, you’ll receive all important information directly through the app.

For your successful participation in the study, it’s important that you follow the instructions provided in the app and complete the daily questions.

Thank you again for taking part!
