Work with us to help shape the future of mental health treatment

At The Calming Minds Project, we believe in the power of lived experience – in fact, we rely on it.

What does the panel do?

Our Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) is made up of a diverse group of individuals, all of whom have personal experience with repetitive negative thinking (RNT). The panel works with us to guide and shape the project to make sure our work is relevant and engaging to the people who will benefit most from it.

The LEAP is central to our research. By working together, the panel aims to identify critical areas for research, decide what to test, and help design effective treatments – your involvement can make a big difference.

Who can join the LEAP panel?

If you’re 18 or over and have a lived-experience perspective on overthinking, worry, and/or rumination and have either received talking therapy or tried to reduce overthinking yourself, we want to hear from you.

If you want to help influence the project, this is your chance to participate in the LEAP. You’ll play a key role in shaping the direction of The Calming Minds Project throughout its duration and help co-design interventions to improve mental health outcomes and deliver a calmer mind for thousands of people.
